Training To Be Soldiers,
Fight For Our Land,
One In A Life,
Two Years Of Our Life.
Have You Ever Wonder,
Why We Must Serve,
Cause We Love Our Land,
And Want It To Be Free,
To Be Free.
Looking All Around Us,
People Everywhere,
Children Having Fun,
While We Are Holding Guns.
Have You Ever Wonder,
Why We Must Serve,
Cause We Love Our Land,
And Want It To Be Free,
To Be Free.

I am a REC and this song has become a part and parcel of our lives and also for route marches.
Anyway, I would like to share a few articles in the blog. How can I be one of the writer for the blog?
Thanks a million
just send a email to the blog owner. remember to include the 1st article.
have you ever wonder,
why we must serve,
because we have no choice,
and we lan lan have to serve,
have to serve..
"have you ever wondered,
why must we serve,
because we have no choice,
and we lan lan have to serve,
have to serve.."
we sang that for our route march once, and we were scolded badly by our platoon sergeant...he told us if we don't want to serve, we can just fuck off... and i was like "yea, right..."
Everytime my BMT platoon sang that version my PC wasted no time reminding us that we are his 2nd last batch of recruits. Talk about rubbing salt in a wound. Our only consolation was that our NS duration was 2 months less than his.
lol. during my bmt we sang it like almost everyday, but of cause at a correct time correct places haha.
My sgt did not say anything then. Maybe they have the same feeling as we had.
"Our only consolation was that our NS duration was 2 months less than his."
But you didn't know that at the time :0
